I would like to thank all Team Toronto partners for making getting vaccinated against COVID-19 as easy as possible and thank you Toronto for rolling up your sleeves and getting vaccinated.

Find a daily mobile vaccination clinic near you or walk into a City-run vaccination clinic for your first or second dose. There are many COVID-19 vaccination opportunities across Toronto for children, youth and adults looking to get a first, second or third dose. Information about ways to get vaccinated is on the City’s COVID-19: How to Get Vaccinated webpage.

Team Toronto opens clinics across Toronto to vaccinate five to 11-year-olds – News Release. All five City-run immunization clinics are running at full capacity today, Friday and all weekend. A total of 49,086 appointments from November 25 to December 11 are available at clinics through the provincial booking system.

As of Wednesday night, 36,373 appointments for kids have been booked in the five City-run immunization clinics. Appointments are still available at all five City-run immunization clinics next week and between December 7 and December 11.

Black Friday shoppers can get COVID-19 vaccine at malls and around town this weekend at Vax The Holidays clinics – News Release. From Thursday, November 25 to Saturday, November 27, these walk-in clinics will offer first and second doses to anyone born in 2009 and earlier, and third doses based on eligibility. The City of Toronto remains in Step Three of the province’s Roadmap to Reopen. Full details on Step Three restrictions are available on the “Reopening” Ontario webpage. Please review the City’s COVID-19 Reopening Guide for Toronto Residents for a list of activities permitted in Step Three.

The province of Ontario’s proof of vaccination requirement regulations remain in effect. You can download and print out your vaccination receipts off of the provincial portal. REMINDER: As the holiday shopping season ramps up with Black Friday and Cyber Monday this weekend, I wanted to remind everyone to be aware of package thefts that have become popular among thieves. It is helpful to request a tracking number for your package. Toronto Public Health preparing for third dose COVID-19 vaccinations – News Release. This week, the Ontario Ministry of Health announced the expansion of COVID-19 third dose eligibility. Healthcare workers, individuals 70 years of age and older, many immunocompromised individuals, individuals who received a two-dose series of a viral vector COVID-19 vaccine (e.g. AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD), First Nation, Inuit and Metis adults and other at-risk populations are now eligible for a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine. A full list of eligible individuals is available on the provincial website.

On Saturday, November 6 at 8am, 40,000 appointments over the next two weeks at TPH vaccine clinics will be available through the provincial booking system. Additional appointments will be opened up in future weeks. More information on how to book is available here.

Team Toronto is preparing to vaccinate children aged five to 11, once the vaccine is approved for this age group – News Release. To assist in planning, Team Toronto is conducting outreach and education sessions to help families get ready for COVID-19 vaccination of children. A survey is available online for parents and guardians to complete until November 7, which can be completed online here.

84 per cent of eligible Toronto residents have now received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine – News Release. As of November 1, Team Toronto partners have administered over 4.9 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 84 per cent of eligible residents who have received two doses of the vaccine and 87.7 per cent of eligible residents who have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Toronto’s Accessibility Task Force on COVID-19 Vaccines, Team Toronto and community partners host super supportive vaccine clinics November 5, 6, 7 – News Release. Clinics will be held in physically accessible locations and will have resources on hand to support those who: have a fear of needles, need to sit down while waiting, need a quiet space to get vaccinated, need a companion when vaccinated or need an ASL interpreter. *NEW* City of Toronto urges drivers to slow down and stay alert ahead of the time change – News Release. With daylight savings time ending on November 7^th at 2am, the City is urging all road users to stay alert and obey the rules of the road. Return to standard time means fewer daylight hours and reduced visibility for all road users in the evening.

*NEW* Toronto Sign to commemorate the Year of the Poppy this Remembrance Week – News Release. This week, Mayor John Tory and a representative from the Royal Canadian Legion unveiled a new illuminated poppy that has been added to the Toronto Sign to commemorate the Year of the Poppy during Remembrance Week, November 5 to 11.

In-person Remembrance Day ceremonies will be held on Thursday, November 11 at Old City Hall, the Scarborough War Memorial, Etobicoke Civic Centre, East York Civic Centre, York Civic Centre and Fort York Historic Site. Members of the public are also able to watch the livestream of the City’s Remembrance Day Ceremony at Old City Hall, which will be available on Thursday, November 11 starting at 10:55 a.m.

Toronto residents and businesses are encouraged to share their views on the rate-supported budgets, and associated services, service levels, rates and user fees, by registering to speak at the Budget Committee meeting of November 19 or by submitting written comments and feedback prior to the meeting. *NEW* Transformed 311 Toronto service experience – News Release. On November 1^st, the City of Toronto launched an improved 311 Toronto service experience, making the service easier and more convenient to use! All of the approximately 600 services that 311 offers are now available online! Residents nowhave the option of reporting requests over the phone, live chat or online. Users will be able to track the status of their request from start to finish and opt-in to receive real-time status updates via text or email.
