*NEW* City of Toronto encourages residents to drop off items for reuse, recycling and safe disposal at Community Environment Days – News Release. The City of Toronto will be holding Community Environment Days at the City’s seven Drop-Off Depots on Sundays throughout September and October. The events begin September 12 and will run until October 31, 2021. Scarborough Drop-Off Depot dates are:

*NEW* Mayor Tory unveils the City of Toronto’s action plan to safely manage congestion as schools open and workers return to offices – News Release. The City created a Congestion Management Action Team made up of senior City traffic management professionals. Their work included actively monitoring and coordinating timely responses to transportation issues across the city based on real-time data, and planning for a safe return to offices and schools. There are three key traffic monitoring measures the Action Team rely on: Traffic Congestion, Traffic Volumes and Traffic Mode Volumes.
*REMINDER* TTC Pop-Up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics. The TTC has partnered with East Toronto Health Partners to provide pop-up vaccination clinics conveniently located for customers in subway stations. Health partner teams will be stationed at Warden Station, 701 Warden Avenue, mezzanine level of the station from 8am to 8pm daily from September 7 to 9, 2021. More details are available here.

City of Toronto run mass vaccination clinics: Vaccine eligibility is now expanded to youth born in 2009. Walk-in vaccinations and appointments are available at City-run clinics for first or second doses from Tuesday to Saturday from 1pm to 7pm. Full details at www.toronto.ca/covid19.

REMINDER: Registration extended for City of Toronto’s DineTOgether promotion to support local restaurants. *NEW* Toronto Police Service Re-Opens Police Facilities to the Public – News Release. As of today, September 7, 2021, all Toronto Police Service Divisions and Traffic Services are now open to the public daily between the hours of 7am to 11pm.
The City of Toronto is changing the way it distributes certain waste management information. The City will not be producing the traditional Waste Calendar/Guide this year. Instead, residents will get their 2022 collection schedules as part of their utility bill and a condensed waste management guide will be mailed to their homes.
