VE Day 75 – May 8Today marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which commemorates the official end of the Second World War in Europe on May 8, 1945. It was a joyful day celebrated by many in Canada, Europe and other Allied Nations around the world.
Toronto residents are encouraged to commemorate this day as a day of celebration and resilience by remembering the veterans and raising or displaying the Canadian flag at home.

Details on Public Washroom and Sanitation Services at City-Operated facilitiesThe City opened several City-operated facilities with showers, washrooms, and drinking water for all individuals in need of these services. Toronto Catholic District School Board Internet Access The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is supplying 9000 computer/devices to students who need them, including ones with internet embedded for families with no internet. TCDSB is also supplying $50/student/month gift cards to disadvantaged communities. Schools in Ward 24 Scarborough-Guildwood that are eligible for these gift cards are: – St. Boniface- St. Columba- St. Dunstan- St. Joachim- St. Maria Goretti- St. Martin de Porres- St. Barbara and- St. Mother Teresa

New Survey for BIAs and Small BusinessesThis survey was developed to obtain feedback on the Canadian Commercial Rent Assistance (CECRA) program. There are two surveys – one for commercial tenants and one for commercial landlords. This survey will close on Monday May 11 at 12 noon.
