Let us all remember COVID-19 will hopefully be stopped, but we all must continue to keep following the mandated rules. We also need to remember, our mental health is paramount, and it is important we take care of ourselves and seek support if needed. For information on COVID-19 community supports please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulainslie.com\/FILES\/2020\/COVIDCommSupports.pdf\">this link.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Toronto is in the <u>Grey-Lockdown<\/u> level of restrictions in the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open\"><strong>Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework<\/strong><\/a><strong> &#8211; From November 23 to December 21. <\/strong>Please stay home as much as possible, except for essential trips for groceries, healthcare, childcare, school and work. Remember to practice<a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-protect-yourself-others\/covid-19-stay-reduce-virus-spread\/?accordion=physical-distancing\">physical distancing<\/a>, washing your hands as often as possible and wear a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-what-you-should-do\/covid-19-orders-directives-by-laws\/mandatory-mask-or-face-covering-bylaw\/\">mask or face covering<\/a>. Residents are asked to limit contact with people not in the same household and to remain at home when ill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To help residents understand the new Grey-Lockdown category measures, the City has created a simple <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-reopening-recovery-rebuild\/covid-19-guide-for-toronto-residents\/\"><strong>Do and Don\u2019t guide.<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>This guide communicates what is \u2013 and what is not \u2013 permitted under the province\u2019s lockdown stage, to help stop the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As the holidays are fast approaching, I\u2019d like to remind everyone to practice public health advice on how to protect yourself and loved ones this holiday season. <\/strong>General advice to consider when planning your holiday season include virtual holiday events, outdoor holiday activities, decorating your homes and if possible, donating to holiday charities or toy drives. Residents are encouraged to show support for local businesses and Toronto retailers by shopping online and arranging delivery or curbside pickup. For more information please the City\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-reopening-recovery-rebuild\/covid-19-reopening-information-for-the-public\/covid-19-holiday-guide\/\">COVID-19 Holiday Guide<\/a> online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>City of Toronto COVID-19 Case Update:<\/strong> <em>(Data as of December 10, 2020)<\/em> There has been an <strong>increase of 502 COVID-19 cases<\/strong> in the City of Toronto. There are<strong> 279 people currently hospitalized. <\/strong>Through the pandemic the City of Toronto has seen a total of <strong>47,609 cases of COVID-19<\/strong>, of these,<strong> 40,669 cases have recovered<\/strong>. To this date, there have been <strong>1,703 COVID-19 deaths<\/strong> in Toronto, an increase of 11 fatal case since the day before. Case status data can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-latest-city-of-toronto-news\/covid-19-status-of-cases-in-toronto\/\">the City\u2019s reporting platform<\/a>. Community members are invited to bring non-perishable food items, much needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the Knights of Columbus will take donations from the trunk of your car. The food items will then be delivered to community Food Banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>REMINDER: Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Community Council will be running a Holiday Toy Drive <\/strong>this year to support the East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club, Toronto Police Auxiliary and Malvern Family Resource Centre<strong> this weekend December 11-13, 2020 \u2013 <\/strong>Friday:5:30-7:30pm; Saturday &amp; Sunday: 10am-12pm &amp; 2-4pm. Location drop off will take place in the East Entrance drop off area staffed by community council members. More examples of ways to give back this holiday season include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/business-economy\/partnerships-sponsorships-donations\/donate\/holiday-wish-list\/\">DonateTO<\/a>, making donations to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailybread.ca\/\">Daily Bread Food Bank<\/a>, making donations to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/helptheanimals\">Toronto Animal Services<\/a> for pets living in low-income families or participating in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontofirefighterstoydrive.org\/\">Firefighters Toy Drive<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Holiday Fair in the Square goes virtual this holiday season. <\/strong>The Holiday Fair in the Square Virtual Marketplace is a one-stop-shop for all your holiday shopping needs. Shoppers can browse through a wide selection of vendors who each host their own individual business page to find a huge variety of unique holiday gifts and products this season. The survey asks residents for their insights and experiences accessing crisis and supportive services, staying safe in a crisis, community safety and future investments that would provide care or support to prevent people from falling into crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>OGRA is hosting a Virtual COVID-19 \u201cAsk Me Anything\u201d Webinar with Dr. Kevin J Stinson, Infection Control Practitioner at St. Mary\u2019s General Hospital in Kitchener on December 17<sup>th<\/sup> at 1pm. <\/strong>Dr. Stinson is going to answer all your questions during the webinar.
