Scarborough-Guildwood\u2019s Live Town Halls provide the community with up to date information, supports and resources throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Toronto has now entered the <u>Grey-Lockdown<\/u> level of restrictions in the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open\"><strong>Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework.<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>&nbsp;Please stay home as much as possible, except for essential trips for groceries, healthcare, child care, school and work. Remember to practice<a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-protect-yourself-others\/covid-19-stay-reduce-virus-spread\/?accordion=physical-distancing\">physical distancing<\/a>, washing your hands as often as possible and wear a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-what-you-should-do\/covid-19-orders-directives-by-laws\/mandatory-mask-or-face-covering-bylaw\/\">mask or face covering<\/a>. Residents are asked to limit contact with people not in the same household and to remain at home when ill. I encourage you to read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open#grey\">Grey-Lockdown level guidelines<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ontario.ca\/en\/release\/59305\/ontario-taking-further-action-to-stop-the-spread-of-covid-19\">province\u2019s news release<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To help residents understand the new Grey-Lockdown category measures, the City has created a simple <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-reopening-recovery-rebuild\/covid-19-guide-for-toronto-residents\/\"><strong>Do and Don\u2019t guide.<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>This guide communicates what is \u2013 and what is not \u2013 permitted under the province\u2019s lockdown stage, to help stop the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>City of Toronto COVID-19 Case Update:<\/strong> <em>(Data as of November 30, 2020)<\/em> There has been an <strong>increase of 761 COVID-19 cases<\/strong> in the City of Toronto. There are<strong> 258 people currently hospitalized. <\/strong>Through the pandemic the City of Toronto has seen a total of <strong>42,312 cases of COVID-19<\/strong>, of these,<strong> 35,580 cases have recovered<\/strong>. To this date, there have been <strong>1,603 COVID-19 deaths<\/strong> in Toronto. Case status data can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-latest-city-of-toronto-news\/covid-19-status-of-cases-in-toronto\/\">the City\u2019s reporting platform<\/a>. Province of Ontario status of COVID-19 Cases can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/covid-19.ontario.ca\/data\">here.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Getting a flu shot is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from the flu<\/strong>. It is especially important this year to help protect our healthcare system during the fight against COVID-19.&nbsp; Learn more about the flu online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/flu\">www.toronto.ca\/flu<\/a> and book your flu shot appointment at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tphbookings.ca\">www.tphbookings.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Today, Scarborough Health Network launched its COVID-19 Assessment Centre located on the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, 1256 Military Trail. <\/strong>The assessment centre is located at Highland Hall and will operate from December 2020 through April 2021. Established by City Council in 1974, the awards honour books of literary merit that are evocative of Toronto. The annual awards offer $15,000 in prize money. Each shortlisted finalist will receive $1,000, with $10,000 awarded to the winner. This year\u2019s Toronto Book Awards Committee was comprised of volunteer members Kate Cayley, Michael Fraser, Liz Howard, Ben McNally and Naben Ruthnum. Donations can be dropped off at the front desk of 43 Division, located at 4331 Lawrence Avenue East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Boys\u2019 and Girls\u2019 Club of East Scarborough Holiday Help Program is now accepting various forms of donations. <\/strong>Donate essential daily items, toys, non-perishables, and\/or monetary donations. Volunteers will collect these donations and redistribute to those in need in the community. More information on how to donate or volunteer can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontomiracle.org\">www.torontomiracle.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Knights of Columbus is hosting a Christmas Community Food Drive on Saturday December 12<sup>th<\/sup> from 9am to 12pm at St. Martin de Porres Church (Parking Lot), located at 4179 Lawrence Ave E. <\/strong>This will be a drive-through food drive with appropriate COVID-19 protocols in place. Community members are invited to bring non-perishable food items, much needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the Knights of Columbus will take donations from the trunk of your car. The food items will then be delivered to community Food Banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tell the City about your experience with accessing crisis and support services! <\/strong>The City of Toronto is developing a community-based crisis response service that is collaborative, effective, and community-centric. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/community-people\/get-involved\/community\/policing-reform\/\">The City\u2019s second survey is now live<\/a> until December 14. The survey asks residents for their insights and experiences accessing crisis and supportive services, staying safe in a crisis, community safety and future investments that would provide care or support to prevent people from falling into crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Go Expansion Program Public Information Centre #3 is now open. <\/strong>The GO Expansion consists of many different projects, three TPAPs \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/new-track-facilities-pic3\">New Track and Facilities TPAP<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/scarborough-junction-grade-separation-pic3\">Scarborough Junction Grade Separation TPAP<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/stouffville-rail-corridor-grade-separations-pic3\">Stoufville Rail Corridor Grade Separations TPAP<\/a> \u2013 and 2 addenda \u2013 the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/network-wide-structures-project-pic3\">Network-Wide Structure Project<\/a> and an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/go-rail-network-electrification-addendum-pic3\">Addendum to the GO Rail Network Electrification.<\/a> To participate visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/go-expansion-program-pic3\">this page<\/a> to review and learn more about what infrastructure is proposed near you, which TPAP or addenda the infrastructure falls under and provide feedback and ask questions. This public information centre will be open until December 11, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Durham-Scarborough Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Public Information Centre #3. <\/strong>The purpose of the Public Information Centre is to present and seek feedback on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrolinxengage.com\/en\/engagement-initiatives\/durham-scarborough-bus-rapid-transit-public-information-centre-3#preliminary-designs\">preliminary design<\/a> and results of the technical studies, including potential impacts and proposed mitigation measures.
