Let us all remember COVID-19 will hopefully be stopped, but we all must continue to keep following the mandated rules. We also need to remember, our mental health is paramount, and it is important we take care of ourselves and seek support if needed. For information on COVID-19 community supports please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulainslie.com\/FILES\/2020\/COVIDCommSupports.pdf\">this link.<\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know many of you may feel worried and frustrated regarding the announcement of Toronto moving into Lockdown, but I am certain that we can all do the right thing in order keep ourselves and those around us safe. Please remember to practice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-protect-yourself-others\/covid-19-stay-reduce-virus-spread\/?accordion=physical-distancing\">physical distancing<\/a>, washing your hands as often as possible and wear a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-what-you-should-do\/covid-19-orders-directives-by-laws\/mandatory-mask-or-face-covering-bylaw\/\">mask or face covering<\/a>. Residents are asked to stay home as much as possible, to limit contact with people not in the same household, consider only leaving home for essential activities and to remain at home when ill. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toronto Public Health will be moved into the Lockdown-Grey level of the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open\"><strong>Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework<\/strong><\/a><strong> on November 23, 2020 at 12:01am along with Peel Regional Health Unit. <\/strong>Measures under Lockdown include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No indoor gatherings, except with members of the same household.<\/li><li>Outdoor gatherings are limited to a maximum of 10 people.<\/li><li>Retail is permitted to be open for curbside pick-up or delivery only with the exception of groceries, pharmacies, hardware stores, liquor stores.<\/li><li>Restaurants, bars and food and drink establishments will only be able to provide take out drive, through and delivery.<\/li><li>Personal care services closed.<\/li><li>Indoor sports and recreation facilities are closed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I encourage you to read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open#grey\">Lockdown-Grey level guidelines<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ontario.ca\/en\/release\/59305\/ontario-taking-further-action-to-stop-the-spread-of-covid-19\">province\u2019s news release<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>City of Toronto COVID-19 Case Update:<\/strong> <em>(Data as of November 19, 2020)<\/em> There has been an increase of 420 COVID-19 cases in the City of Toronto. There are <strong>174 people currently hospitalized. <\/strong>Through the pandemic the City of Toronto has seen a total of <strong>36,821 cases of COVID-19<\/strong>, of these,<strong> 30,838 cases have recovered<\/strong>. To this date, there have been <strong>1,515 COVID-19 deaths<\/strong> in Toronto, an increase of 7 deaths from the day before. Case status data can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/home\/covid-19\/covid-19-latest-city-of-toronto-news\/covid-19-status-of-cases-in-toronto\/\">the City\u2019s reporting platform<\/a>. Province of Ontario status of COVID-19 Cases can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/covid-19.ontario.ca\/data\">here.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Getting a flu shot is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from the flu<\/strong>. It is especially important this year to help protect our healthcare system during the fight against COVID-19.&nbsp; Learn more about the flu online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/flu\">www.toronto.ca\/flu<\/a> and book your flu shot appointment at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tphbookings.ca\">www.tphbookings.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>November 20<sup>th<\/sup> is Transgender Day of Remembrance. <\/strong>We have raised the Transgender Pride flag at City Hall to recognize this important day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The City of Toronto will more than double its supply of winter park washrooms <\/strong>from 64 to 143 as part of its ongoing response to COVID-19.City staff are presenting a plan and report to November City Council that will add 79 new winter washrooms across the city on top of the 64 locations typically available. The report comes in response to a request by City Council last month to explore expanding the number of public washrooms available throughout the winter. More information can be read in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toronto.ca\/news\/city-of-toronto-to-more-than-double-its-supply-of-winter-park-washrooms\/\">news release.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toronto and Region Conservation Authority is proud to celebrate the launch of its film, \u201cBuilding A Better Future\u201d, produced by BBC StoryWorks. <\/strong>The intention of \u2018Building a Better Future\u2019 was to look at case studies and projects occurring within organizations that translate rhetoric into action. By shining a light on the most interesting examples of best practice from across the sector, the series hopes to increase awareness and understanding, and drive change in the ways in which buildings are designed,&nbsp;built&nbsp;and operated. The deadline to apply for the City\u2019s PollinateTO Community Grant is <strong>January 8, 2021<\/strong>. The gardens will be planted in 2021.
