I’m\nwriting today to give you a further update on the City’s ongoing response to\nthe COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
City\nstaff in the Emergency Operations Centre and all essential and critical\nservices are working around-the-clock to respond to this crisis to keep us\nsafe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These are\nunprecedented times and I am continuing to receive multiple updates each\nday on the City’s response and I am committed to\nsharing this information with you through my social media channels\nand in email updates like this. I have included the latest important\ninformation from the City below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Right\nnow, I can\u2019t express enough how important it is to stay\nhome, practise physical distancing, work from home where\npossible and only go out for essentials. These actions, which\nmany of you are already doing, will help to\nprotect you but also your family, friends and all those who\nwork in essential services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you\nfor everything that you\u2019re doing to help stop the spread and please\ncontinue to urge others to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please see the following Key Messages<\/strong> for the day on\nCOVID-19 updates from the City of Toronto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mayor John Tory announced today\nthat business owners are invited to complete this City survey<\/a> to\nshare how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting their business, and what\ninformation or supports they and their employees need. The survey will also be\nsent to more than 20,000 businesses as well as Business Improvement\nAssociations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you have a complaint about a\nbusiness still operating, whether is it a non-essential business still running,\nor an essential business running without taking proper steps to protect its\nworkers, please call (not email) 311. Please be patient and expect high call\nvolumes. Complaints are logged and sent to a compliance team which will assign\nan officer to review and investigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\ndeadline to cancel the TTC\u2019s 12 Month Pass plan and Autorenew for the TTC\nMonthly Pass have been extended until 11:59 p.m. on March 27, 2020. TTC will\nwaive all cancellation fees, including any previous discounts received for the\nTTC Monthly Pass. Residents may still see a notification regarding cancellation\nfees on the PRESTO app or website, however, we ask that they please disregard\nthis message.
