Dear Scarborough-Guildwood\nNeighbours <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are over 150 City of\nToronto services that impact your life each day. From the delivery of clean,\ndrinkable water to the paved roads we travel on. The City’s emergency response\nteams who keep our communities safe to the City’s waste management teams who\nkeep our communities clean. The City creates countless opportunities from\nfestivals, business and tourism growth to investments in new infrastructure and\naffordable housing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 311 to 911, the City\ngovernment delivers programs throughout the day with many services available\n24\/7. That is why the City’s budget is so important, it is the financial plan\nof how much money the municipal government will raise and invest, and\ndetermines the level of service provided to Toronto residents, businesses and\nvisitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

City of Toronto launched a\n2020 tax-supported budgets outlined below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

–         \nMaintains existing services plus $67\nmillion in new and enhanced investment <\/p>\n\n\n\n

–         \nContinues partnership with other levels\nof government including $77 million for refugee support expected from the\nfederal government <\/p>\n\n\n\n

–         \nCity staff-recommended total 2020\noperating budget of $13.53 billion <\/p>\n\n\n\n

o   $11.59 billion tax-supported plus $1.59 rate-supported <\/p>\n\n\n\n

o   Approved by City Council on December 17, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–          City staff-recommended total 10-year capital plan of $43.46 billion <\/p>\n\n\n\n

o   $27.94 billion tax-supported plus $15.52 billion rate-supported <\/p>\n\n\n\n

o   Approved by City Council on December 17, 2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
